Whitmire is 5-10 with a lankier athletic frame that has some strength present and plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from an open balanced athletic stance, strides on line, smooth load down. Hips rotate with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, quick to the ball, uphill line drive swing with a strong contact point, showed a good approach working gap to gap with potential to grow into gap power in the future, exit velocity was 77. Behind the plate, works around the plate to gain ground, clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, short free arm action, position velocity was 68 and pop times 2.14-2.29. Receiving, he gets low in his base and works up to the ball, showed some sway receiving. Showed versatility working out in the infield as well. On the mound, he throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, short free arm action and easier effort to his delivery. Shoulders are slightly uphill and closed, lands slightly closed with an athletic finish. Fastball was 70-72, with some late armside run. Curveball was 55-56 with some armspeed and big gradual 12/6 break to it. Change-up was 66-67 with good armspeed and some late cutting action to it.

Athletic frame at 5-foot-8, 145-pounds. Upright stance hitting from the right side. Starts slightly open, direct stride forward, and lands slightly closed. Hands make minimal load back, are short to the ball, has some hand speed getting through, and bat gets out the zone quick. Slightly uphill path, used the middle of the field well, and produced consistent line drives. Exit velocity was 76 mph.
