VA/DC State Games
Wasson is 6-2 with an athletic frame that has strength present and some projection left to it. He hits from the left side from a slightly open taller balanced athletic stance, low leg kick stride on line, smooth load back. Hips rotate completely with violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, quick to the ball, uphill swing path, some strength at contact point with extension through the ball, showed a good approach using the whole field, gap power to all fields with some more to pull side, exit velocity was 88. In the infield, gets body behind the ball and fields with a wider base and above average hands, works through ball to a clean exchange, throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, short arm action position velocity was 72. Ran a 7.63 60 yard dash. On the mound, he throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, shorter loose arm action and normal effort to his delivery. Shoulders are slightly uphill and slightly closed, lands slightly open with a fall off finish. Fastball was 78-80, touch 81, with downward plane and some late armside run with a bit of depth to it. Curveball had good armspeed and was 68-70 with sharp 1/7 break to it.
Athletic projectable frame. On the mound velocity was down just a touch from when we saw him last, but as noted it was a very windy cold night and I expect it to pick up some. Fastball was 76-78 mph with arm side run and worked well to the arm side. Breaking ball was 66-68 mph with 1/7 shape. At the plate has a simple efficient stride, short level path to the ball, and stayed inside well. Barreled up a hard hit ball right at the second baseman and had a ground ball to the left side in two of his at bats on the night.

Showed versatility taking balls in the infield, where his velocity was 72. He throws from a higher three-quarters arm slot, long loose arm action and some effort to his delivery. Shoulders are downhill and closed, lands closed with athletic finish. Fastball was 78-80, with a bit of late sink to it. Curveball had good armspeed and was 67-68 with sharp 1/7 break. Change-up had good armspeed and was 72-73 with some sink.
