Kept hands inside ball, showed good approach working gap to gap, exit velocity was 82. Behind the plate, clean release, gains ground towards target, throws from high three-quarters arm slot with a short arm action. Pop times were 2.05-2.13 and catcher velocity was 73.

11.5.17: Barrie is 5-1 with an athletic frame, he hits from the right side from a slightly open athletic stance. Leg kick stride on line, smooth load back to a bar, hips rotate completely with some balance to his swing. Takes barrel straight to ball, slightly uphill path with pull preference, exit velocity was 79. Behind the plate, reached for ball, otherwise clean transfer gains ground during exchange. Short loose arm action from a high three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 70. Pop times were 2.27-2.35. Good deep stance receiving, good flexibility with sway, works up to ball and presents good strike. Ran a 7.44 60 yard dash.

Pop times were 2.16-2.27, showed some accuracy on his throws. Quiet receiver, shows some sway when presenting pitches.
