3.21.17: Athletic projectable frame beginning to fill out. Pitched from the stretch only today. Loose quick arm action throwing from a high three-quarter slot. Stayed on target through finish with roll off to the first base side after release. Fastball was 86-89 mph pitching with regular effort. Breaking ball has sharper, 11/5 action on the pitch at 74-77 mph which he showed good command of. Was a bit inconsistent in this early start with fastball command, but used competitiveness to get through it.

9/29/16 -
William and Mary commit. Durable pitchers frame. Compact, controlled delivery with nice tempo. Can get some more usage of his lower half combined with a clean and quick arm action. Sat 85-87 on the day topping out at 88mph. Breaking ball was 71-74 with close to 12/6 shape on the pitch.

4.16.16:  Haney is an athletic righty who throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with a drop and drive delivery. His arm action is loose and quick, generating velocity with normal effort. His shoulders are uphill and closed as he strides to a square landing with a fall off. Haney showed two fastballs, a four seamer with plane and some late run and a two seamer with hard run. His fastballs ran 83-86, touching 87 a few times. His curveball had sharp, power 11/5 break, running 73-78.
7.22.15 Haney has a lanky, athletic frame and throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a smooth, drop and drive delivery. He has a short, loose arm action and throws with max effort. His shoulders are level and closed as he strides out on line to a square landing before falling off as he finishes. Haney’s fastball has heavy sink and some running action to it and sat 82-84. His slider had 11/5 action and flashed plus, with late, sharp action to it and full armspeed, running 68-71. His changeup was thrown with full armspeed and sinking action, sitting 76. Offensively, hit from a balance/athletic stance with slight bend in the knees.  Stance was slightly closed. Had a smooth load back with a slight wrap. Stride was short and stayed closed. Utilized and inward turn of the knee to generate power and as a timing mechanism. Maintained balance in the swing with a good lower half.  Took an advanced approach in the round with decent rhythm. Had a short/level bat path with extension. Showed fast bat speed and strong hands. Had an exit velocity of 84 mph. Line drive stroke with gap-to-gap potential.  In the field, threw from a high three-quarter arms lot with a long/loose arm action. Throws were accurate and have some life. Showed soft hands in the field with good actions. Is a very projectable player with a projectable body. Should be able to stay on the left side of the field. Footwork was fluid and exchanges were clean. Could cut down on the amount of steps after fielding the ball. Had a positional velocity of 83 mph.

4.25.15:  Haney pitched in relief in the game. He has a lanky frame and throws from a high three-quarters arm slot and has a drop and drive delivery with a quick arm that generates easy velocity. His shoulders are closed and level as he strides out and he falls off a bit after he finishes. His fastball sat 81-82, touching 83 with late run to it. He also threw a slider that was 69 and had tight, late break to it. At shortstop, he has good actions and a strong arm.
2.15.15 Hit from an athletic/balanced stance that was slightly closed. Hands moved back during his load. Used an inward turn to generate torques. Had a minimal stride that was on line. Good approach at the plate. Was comfortable and confident. Rhythm was a bit stiff. Short bat path that was level. Power potential to the pull side. Line drive stroke. Had an Exit Velocity of 81 mph. In the field, threw from a high ¾ arm slot with a long arm action with accuracy. Had some life. Had athletic actions and played through the ball.
