High Point commit. Athletic projectable body type with nice body control. Controlled delivery with nice tempo. High leg kick, like how his lower half works from leg kick through release. Involved. Longer, quick arm action throwing from a high three quarter slot. Fastball had some run on the pitch and was up to 87 in this early outing on the year, not going to be surprised when better this year on the velocity. Really like his breaking ball. Ranged from 76-78 mph and showed late life on the pitch and tough on hitters. 11/5 shape, more of a slurve to me as opposed to a slider just because of the amount of break he was able to create. Pitch should play quickly in college. Has easy repeatable delivery. More is there, will be fun to follow collegiate career.

Curley has a lankier frame and throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot. Drop and drive delivery, short arm action a bit stiff on the back side, quick and loose armstroke. Easy effort to generate velocity. Shoulders level and closed, lands closed with a slight fall off finish. Fastball was 82-86 in both of his innings of work and held his velocity in the stretch. Some late run to his fastball. Good armspeed on slider with gradual late 10/4 break, pitch was 76-77. Slider flashed swing and miss potential when he had it down in the zone, lots of upside as it sharpens.

Short arm action, easy effort, shoulders downhill and closed, lands closed with athletic finish. Fastball had heavy run, sat 79-83. Change-up had some armspeed and fading action, running 72-74.
10.12.15 Curley has a lanky, athletic frame and throws from a low three-quarters arm slot with a smooth drop and drive delivery. He has a long, quick arm action that generates easy velocity. His fastball has heavy run and sat 70-73, touching 74. His slider had downer action that flashed plus at times, running 59-62. The pitch has a chance to be outstanding as he gets stronger and tightens the spin. His changeup had armside run and ran 64. He commanded all of his pitches well and controlled the bottom of the strike zone.
