Allen is 5-10 with a strong frame that has some projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced athletic stance, strides on line, smooth load back. Hips rotate with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, quick to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing, strong at contact with extension through the ball, showed a good approach working primarily gap to gap, some power present to all fields, exit velocity was 89. In the infield, gets behind the ball and fields with a wider base and average hands, works through ball to a clean exchange, throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 73. On the mound, he throws from a three-quarters arm slot, short free arm action and normal effort to his delivery. Drop and drive delivery, shoulders are uphill and closed, lands square with an athletic finish. Fastball was 70-74, touching 75, with some late armside run and depth. Curveball had some armspeed and was 64-68 with gradual 12/6 break to it. Showed a change-up in warm-ups with some armspeed and fade to it.
