McCusker is a Coastal Carolina commit and is 6-1 with a lankier athletic frame, has some width in his hips and shoulders and plenty of projection and room to add strength left. Throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, long loose quick arm action which generates easy velocity. Some drop and drive in his delivery, shoulders are uphill and closed, lands closed with a fall off finish. Fastball was 84-89, touching 90 once, pitch got some angle and a bit of late armside run when thrown down in the zone, flattens up a bit at the top of the zone. Pitch was 86-89, mostly 88-89, touching that 90 in his first two innings. Was 85-87 by the third and in the fifth was working 84-86, touching 87 once. Curveball was 66-72 with good armspeed and sharp power 11/5 break. Shows good feel for the pitch, climbs his arm slot a bit to throw it, sharper harder break when thrown in the 70-72 range, showing future swing and miss potential.
