Preseason All State Session I Athletic thin frame standing at 5-10, 158-pounds. On the mound works with a slow controlled tempo and gets to a consistent balance point striding closed at landing. Arm circle is longer, but showed some arm speed getting through from a high three-quarter arm slot. Fastball had some nice arm side run and sat at 83-85 mph. Curveball showed a 10/4 shape with solid arm speed at 69-71 mph. Changeup had nice arm speed and showed some fade at 73-76 mph. Ran an impressive 3.85 Home-1st. Switch hitter, hitting from the right side starts in a upright stance with a small toe tap to stride landing slightly closed. Hands load back and are short to the ball with some uphill tilt to the swing and a high finish. From the left side starts in a slightly open stance striding on line with a toe tap landing on line. Barrels seems to be quicker getting through the zone from the left side and more comfort in the swing. Showed a line drive swing working all parts of the field with an exit velo of 77 mph.

Cumba has a shorter lanky frame that has projection left. Very athletic, covers a lot of ground in the middle infield and has some potential as a line drive hitter who uses the whole field and his speed. On the mound, sat 80-83 from three-quarters arm slot. Some quickness to his arm, normal effort. Fastball had late run. Curveball was 64-65 with 11/5 break and got some depth when down in the zone. Potential two-way player in college.
