4.25.15: Shobe has a lanky frame, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot and has a drop and drive delivery. He has a short, free arm action that generates easy velocity. His shoulders are level and online and he strides online to a square landing. His fastball was 77-79 most of the day, touching as high as 81 early in the game and had good late sink and run to it. His changeup had sink to it and was thrown with decent armspeed at 72. He also threw a curveball that had 1/7 break that ran 66-70. He adjusted the shape of his breaking ball, sweeping it against lefties and keeping more vertical break against righties. At the plate, Shobe, has a swing that is short to the ball and produces a lot of line drives with the potential to develop into a gap-to-gap hitter.
