Cassidy is 5-11 with an athletic 175 pound frame that has projection left to it. He hits from the right side from an open tall relaxed stance, two-tap stride on line, smooth load back. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, goes straight to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing path with some strength at contact and extension through the ball, showed good approach working primarily gap to gap, swing generates some loft and carry in the gaps, extra base power there with more in the tank as he develops, exit velocity was 88. In the infield, rounds ball and fields with average hands, works through the ball to a clean exchange, throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, short arm action, position velocity was 72. Ran a 7.41 60 yard dash. On the mound, he throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, very short free arm action and normal effort to his delivery. Shoulders are uphill and closed, lands slightly closed with an athletic finish. Fastball was 74-76, with downward plane and some late armside run to it. Curveball was 57-62 with some armspeed and gradual 11/5 break to it. Change-up was 63-65 with some armspeed and heavy fade.
