8.10.16:  Johnson stands 6-2 and has a strong frame with a strong lower half. Throws from a high three-quarters arm slot with short, loose arm action. Throws have carry and accuracy, position velocity was 78. Quick, clean exchange and good footwork with soft hands. Pop times were 2.02-2.09. Hits from right side with athletic stance. Leg kick stride and good lower half with average balance. Short bat path and good approach with a line drive swing, worked gap-to-gap. Exit velocity was 82.

10.31.15 Hit from a tall stance with balance.  Athletic position.  Slightly bent knees.  Small load back with a slight arm bar.  Short stride that stays on line.  Maintains balance throughout the swing but over rotates on the back foot from time to time.  Showed strong hands and had a good approach during the round.  Bat path was short.  Small rhythm. Repeatable.  Line drive swing that was gap-to-gap.   Behind the plate, threw from a H3/4 arm slot with a long arm action at release.  Showed some arm strength on the day.  Has more arm in the tank.  Exchange and footwork were quick.  Both could be more efficient which would increase arm strength and reduce on already good pop times.  Body has gotten better.  Hard worker.  Excellent leader.

7.14.15 Hit from a balance stance that was tall. Had a smooth load back with a slight arm bar. Took a short stride that was on line. Showed good balance throughout the swing with a good lower half.  Had a good approach during around with a good rhythm. Bat path was short. When rhythm was late, casted hands. Had a line drive/gap to gap swing. Had average bat speed with an exit velocity of 78 mph. Behind the plate, threw from a high three-quarter arm slot with a short arm action. Throws were accurate and had carry. Showed soft hands when receiving.  Fluid footwork to go along with quick and clean exchanges. Moves well behind the plate. Was on his heels at times. Had a positional velocity of 78 mph. Pot times were 1.89- 2.02.
