VA/DC PreSeason All-State Central
Chavis is 6-3 with a lankier athletic 188 pound frame that has plenty of projection left to it. He throws from a high three-quarters arm slot, long loose quick arm action and normal effort to his delivery. Drop and drive delivery, shoulders are uphill and closed, lands closed with a fall off finish and some recoil. Fastball was 82-83, touching 84, with downward plane and hard boring action to armside. Slider was 69-70 with some armspeed and late sharp 10/4 break to it. Change-up was 74-75 with some armspeed and late armside run.
