2.17.18: Owen is 6-1 with an athletic frame, he hits from the right side from a slightly open athletic stance. Short stride on line, loads back, some rhythm to his swing. Hips fire with some explosion, has some balance to his swing. Slightly uphill path, gets barrel to contact quickly with extension through the ball, showed good approach, working gap to gap where he has easy doubles power, chance for more to pull side, exit velocity was 92. In the outfield, gets body behind ball and plays through it as he fields, using average hands and a clean transfer to get to a higher three-quarters arm slot. Loose arm that is quick, ball has carry, outfield velocity was 87. On the mound, throws from a lower three-quarters arm slot with longer, loose arm action that is quick and whippy at finish. Shoulders uphill and on line, lands slightly closed with a bit of a fall off finish. Fastball was 81-83 with boring action to the armside. Change-up was 72-76 with fading action and some armspeed. Curveball was 67-72 with gradual 10/4 break to it.
