6.1.15: Alderman was outstanding on the night. Arm was loose and showed a very high ceiling. The delivery was smooth with minimal effort. Alderman was highly efficient and his fastball command was excellent. On the night he sat 86-88 and touched 89 on multiple occasions. His slider had power 10/4 breaking action, with depth, that ran 75-77.
2.22.15 Alderman stands 6-foot and has an athletic frame. He has a smooth drop and drive delivery and throws from a high three-quarters slot. He has a short, loose arm action and a quick armstroke that generates velocity with normal effort. His shoulders are uphill and he strides out on line before landing a bit open and falling off as he finishes. Alderman pounded the strike zone with a straight fastball that sat 84-85. His slider had power 10/4 breaking action to it that ran 68-71 and has the potential to be a good pitch as his feel improves. He threw a change-up that he commanded well and had good armside run, sitting 74-77.
