Mazur is 6-2 with a strong athletic frame that has some projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a tall balanced upright stance, strides on line, loads back into a wrap. Hips rotate with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Keeps hands inside, short and quick to the ball with some strength at contact and extension through the ball. Slightly uphill swing path, showed a primary pull approach with the ability to work to gap to gap, some pop to his pull side, exit velocity was 84. In the infield, rounds ball and fields with a wider base and above average hands. Works through ball to a clean exchange, throws from a three-quarters arm slot with a short arm action, infield velocity was 80. Ran a 7.32 60 yard dash.
Diamondskills All-America Camp
6-foot-2, 178-pound athletic frame with some length. Relaxed athletic stance starting slightly open. Hands load back, small stride forward landing slightly closed, bat path is level and should produce some gap to gap capability. Hips were explosive and Exit velo was 80 mph and Mazur showed some strength and quickness through the zone. Defensively plays low, fields out front, feet are active on approach and plays through the ball. Arm action is long, shows some arm speed throwing from a high three-quarter slot at 74 mph. 60 time was 7.33.
NOVA Fall Review
Mazur is 6-2 with a lankier athletic frame that has plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from a slightly open balanced stance, strides on line, smooth load back to a wrap, hips rotate completely with some violence, he maintains good balance during his swing. Short to ball, slightly uphill line drive swing with extension through the ball and some batspeed and some strength at contact, showed good approach working middle of the field, exit velocity was 84. At short, rounds ball and fields with above average hands, works through the ball throws from a low three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 76. Ran a 7.48 60 yard dash.
