Listed at 5-foot-11, but I would imagine he is closer to 6-foot/6-foot-1. Long limbs, lanky frame, and a lot of room to add strength to it. Has been a consistent defender that shows above average arm strength across. Goes back well on fly balls and seems to have an understanding and feel for positioning. Had three hits on the day including this single in the first in the video below. Contact driven swing with doubles power.

Carpin is 5-11 with a lankier athletic frame that has plenty of projection left to it. He hits from the right side from an open balanced athletic stance, leg kick stride on line, short load back. Hips rotate completely with some violence and he maintains some lower half balance. Hands stay inside, quick to the ball, slightly uphill swing, showed a pull approach with the ability to use the whole field, strength at contact, gap power present to pull side, exit velocity was 87. In the infield, rounds the ball and fields with a wider base and soft hands, works through ball to a quick clean exchange, throws from a three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 81, arm is loose. Ran a 6.90 60 yard dash.

Hands stay inside, short and quick to the ball, slightly uphill line drive swing with strength at contact and extension through the ball, exit velocity of 90. In the infield, rounds ball and fields with a wider base and above average hands, works through the ball to a clean exchange, throws from a three-quarters arm slot, position velocity was 84. Ran a 4.35 home to first.
