2/29/20: The 6-foot-6 righty reliever from Gig Harbor, Wash. entered in relief during Saturday’s game against NC State and faced two batters. His fastball was up to 94 mph, but was all over the place. He gave up hard contact to both batters he faced; a double and a well-struck flyout to right/center. Frederickson lacked deception as the ball was easy to pick up early out of his hand. He also showed a low-80s slider and mid-80s changeup. His change was the best of his secondary offerings. 8/12/19: Long-bodied righty Patrick Frederickson sat 88-92 mph with his fastball and flashed an average 75-79 mph breaking ball and slowed his arm on an 80-81 below average changeup. At 6-foot-6, Frederickson has length to his delivery and had a tough time getting it in sync. He walked 19 in 25 IP this summer. (Seifert)
