After clocking a 6.93 60 yard dash, Kuhnke showed well in the box. He averaged near 88mph exits as he drilled balls around the field as far as 350ft. Then moved to his infield session and showed off a strong arm (90mph) across the diamond. From the mound, Kuhnke posted one of the day's best fastballs (90), a short wrinkle curveball, and a low spin changeup to round out the mix.

Kuhnke emerged as a true follow arm in the state’s sophomore class. We first saw Kuhnke in the winter, when the 6-foot-1, 175-pound right-hander turned heads at our Fox Cities Preseason I.D. thanks to a strong performance on the mound. He repeated that at the PBR Badger State Battle, showing arm-side action on an 83-86 mph fastball that topped at 87 mph. Kuhnke also spun a handful of quality 70-74 mph breaking balls, helping him miss barrels throughout his start.

Hit: RHH. Balanced setup, bat wraps slightly at load, quick toe-tap timing trigger. Long and uphill bat path to contact, flashed pull-side juice off the barrel, swings with intent. Power: 91.34 max exit velocity, averaged 85.78 mph. 333’ max distance. Arm: R/R. INF - 77 mph. Short and loose arm action, comfortable working from multiple arm angles and finishes from a 3/4 window. Defense: Active feet that defend around the baseball in rhythm, ranges well up the middle. Steady glove that works out front and funnels inward to midline, clean and quick transfer, steady glove pack to release. Run: 7.12 runner in the 60. Above-average runner for age/size.

Today, Kuhnke hopped on the mound and was equally impressive. He has sat at an easy 84-86 T88 on his FB with life through the zone and has shown feel for a tight spinning BB that has earned multiple swings-and-misses. #BadgerStatehttps://t.co/QSRUKKdBkApic.twitter.com/8IJYxHf3Ut
