Dillon Herling showcases impressive athleticism, having previously run a 6.77 in the 60-yard dash. At the plate against Nicolet, Herling reached base in every at-bat, going 2-for-2 with three RBIs. In the bottom of the fourth, he drove in two runs with a double to left field. He features a fluid swing and quick bat speed. Defensively, he covered plenty of ground in center field and displayed a quick, accurate arm. The sophomore has a high ceiling and continues to project well.

Displaying a strong and athletic proportionate 5-foot-7, 155-pound frame with plenty of room for growth, Herling helped the Franklin Crew defeat GTS 16-6. The right handed batter went 2-for-3 at the plate with a walk and three RBI’s. Mechanically, Herling bats with a slightly open stance and portrays a small stride with a quick bat that has slight lift to it. He is quick out of the box and quick in the field as he tracks down every ball hit in his general direction.
