6.16.16 - Recent Central Michigan commit with three years eligibility, played freshman year at North Dakota (dropped program). 6-foot-3, 218-pound left-handed pitcher, strong build. Delivery is athletic, squared landing, good rhythm. Arm action is quick and loose, high ¾ slot. Fastball has life and showed control, 87-89 mph. Slider is sharp with 1/7 action, near fastball arm speed, 73-77 mph. Straight changeup is thrown with fastball arm speed, 77-81 mph, good control.

10/20/14 - Verbally committed to North Dakota.

6/19/14 - Strong build, 6-foot-3, 190-pound left handed pitcher, projectable build. Delivery showed rhythm, lower half works online, head tends to work away from body, athletic finish, some effort. Arm operates from a high ¾ slot, showed arm speed, loose arm, showed strength. Fastball topped out at 88 mph, mostly down, showed better command in the stretch. Curveball pitched at 69-73 mph, 11/5 plane. Changeup flashed sink, near fastball arm action, 71-74 mph. Collins is a big strong left handed arm who has shown he has the arm strength to pitch at a high level.

3/16/14 - Strong build, solid lower half, 6-foot-3, 195-pound left handed pitcher and first baseman. One of the top left handed pitching prospects in the state. Tall and fall style delivery, works directionally. Arm action is loose, high ¾ slot, little effort. Fastball has slight run, 82-85 mph, has the ability to control the zone. Curveball has 11/5 shape, showed feel for the zone, 67-70 mph. Changeup is advanced, sinking action, near fastball arm speed, showed control, 69-71 mph. Hits from the left side, balanced stance, short stride. Gap to gap approach, 86 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively showed natural abilities around the bag, plays through the baseball. Arm shows carry, 77 mph across the diamond. Collins is a high follow prospect, projecting as a high level left handed pitcher.

10/30/13 - Strong build, solid frame, 6-foot-3, 200-pound left handed pitcher, sturdy pitchers body. Delivery has regular effort, works on line well, level shoulders, athletic finish. Long loose arm action, above average arm speed, high ¾ slot. Fastball showed arm side action with sink, slightly later action, showed control, 81-83 mph, touched 84 mph. Changeup was best secondary pitch, showed advanced action for age, thrown with deceptive arm speed, showed feel for the pitch with control of the zone, 71-74 mph. Curveball worked on 11/5 plane, 66-73 mph, showed some feel and control.
