10.8.17 - 6-foot-3, 190-pound, strong build, left/left, two-way prospect. On the mound, left-handed pitcher, tall and fall delivery, smooth rhythm and easy effort throughout. Long arm action, high ¾ slot. Fastball sinking action down in the zone, 73-76 mph. Curveball, thrown for strikes, 1/7 shape, 61-64 mph. Changeup worked straight, ranged between 61-64 mph. At the plate, left-handed hitter, closed, taller setup and short stride. Pull approach at the plate, 81 mph exit velocity. Defensively, works through the baseball, reliable hands, long arm action from a ¾ slot, clocked at 76 mph. 8.00 runner in the 60.
7/25/17 - 6-foot-3, 190-pound left-handed pitcher. The fastball touched 78 mph with a downhill plane to it. Commanding the fastball needs to improve as he matures. The spin pitch is wide, needs more fastball hand speed to it, sat at 64-65 mph. The shape of the pitch is correct, just needs a bit more fastball to it. The changeup is a work in progress. The delivery comes at you out of a plus ¾ slot. Athletic lift and coil, corrals glove but front shoulder needs to be tracked longer to stay with his arm more often. The arm swing is clean and the ball is true. Few tweaks and he should be on time with his feet and ball hand.
