Athletic mover on the mound with a high leg lift and coil, loose arm from a high 3/4 slot. Struck out four batters across two innings of work, showcasing a four pitch mix. Fastball: 82-85 mph; T-86 with ride, slider: 73-75mph, curveball: 70-73 mph, change up: 74 mph.
Uncommitted, stands at 6-foot-3, 175-pounds. On the mound, he earned the win, throwing four innings while allowing one run on two hits and three walks, and striking out eight. His fastball sat at 83–86 mph, complemented by a 69–72 mph curveball. Loose and athletic on the mound, shows a feel for the zone.
+ RHP Landon Lassahn (Verona Area, 2026) displayed an extremely loose and athletic delivery, reaching up to 87 mph with the fastball with a feel for 4 pitches for strikes. With the fastball, he showed well above-average extension (6.6 feet) and IVB (20 inches). Additionally, Lassahn showcased two distinct breaking balls: a curveball (70-72 mph, 2,272 rpm average spin rate) and a slider (70-72 mph, 2,155 rpm average spin rate), as well as a feel for a changeup (73-77 mph). All three secondary pitches he was able to land in the zone with consistent execution. Our staff believes Lassahn has the potential to be near the top of his class by the end of his senior year if he continues to develop physically as there is plenty of room in his 6-foot-3, 173 pound frame.
Possessing a long lower half and rounded shoulders with an athletic and slim 6-foot-1, 150-pound frame, Lassahn was shoving on the mound for Edge Baseball in their game against the Rhinos. The righty threw four innings giving up four hits and striking out ten. Mechanically, Lassahn is tall on the mound with a high leg kick and strides toward the right-handed batters box. He portrays an over-the-top arm slot and throws his fastball both arm and glove side. His fastball touched 83 and sat 80-82 mph with a sharp 64-65 curveball and diving 75 mph changeup. With plenty of room for growth, Lassahn can be a real threat in the future.
