Uncommitted, currently ranked No. 86 in the state’s 2027 class, Stelter is a physical 6-foot-1, 194-pound backstop with wiry strength and room to add that produced some loud at-bats throughout gameplay. In the workout, recorded one of the top 60s for a catcher at 6.81. Recorded EVs up to 94 mph with an average of 84 mph and a max distance of 336’, flashed some bat speed at an average of 69 mph. Defensively, recorded a pop time of 1.93-2.08 with a 79 mph arm from the chute. In gameplay, collected three hits and three RBIs, including a couple 85+ mph singles. Stelter impressed in all aspects and came out a winner from the event.

Looked the part all event beginning in BP where he set up with a wide base and simple stride with feel to lift and strength in the operation from a polished and repeatable RH swing. Maxed out at 93.9 mph off the bat with an average distance of 285’ and an average bat speed of 69 mph. The backstop ran a 6.81 in the 60 yard dash and jumped 27.3”. Athleticism stood out behind the dish with pop times ranging on average from 1.93-2.08 seconds and 79 mph out of the chute. An advanced blocker with quick hands and transfers with the ability to backspin the baseball; plays with a motor. Finished the event 3-for-6 with 3 RBI’s. One of the top uncommitted backstops in the state with M2C.

C Max Stelter (Lake Mills, 2027): Showcasing a strong 6-foot-1, 198.9-pound build, physical, and a frame that should easily continue to add quality strength. The right-handed hitter works with a tight path to and through the baseball, getting long through the zone to consistently drive the ball wherever it is pitched. He produced a max EV of 92 mph and an average EV of 84.3 mph. Stelter also proved to be a standout athlete at the event, recording a swift 6.84 in the 60-yard dash. Behind the plate, his throws to second base were captured with pop times in the 2.00-2.02 range which is plenty quick to nab would-be basestealers.
