RHP Maxwell Lubenow (Madison West, 2027): Possesses an imposing and highly projectable 6-foot-2, 187-pound frame. His curveball played at 75-77 mph (2,483 rpm) with two plane tilting break in the zone with sharp and late quality to the pitch making it a legitimate out-pitch weapon. + Maxwell Lubenow, RHP (Madison West): Perhaps this biggest winner of the event, the long-levered 6-foot-3, 186-pound right-hander showed easy arm speed and feel for an advanced arsenal while challenging and beating hitters in the zone. Easy stretch-only delivery with repeatability, features a high leg-lift, drops back leg and utilizes his frame to gain ground, hard but controlled follow through and throws out of a high 3/4 slot with a whippy arm. His primary offering was a 86-88 mph FB (T89) that came with lively arm-side run. The righty also offered a 73-76 mph curveball with sharp 11/5 bite, with the two offerings allowing him to strike out three batters in his two innings of work.
+ RHP Maxwell Lubenow (Madison West, 2027) showed an intriguing profile on the mound with physicality to project on. The 6-foot-3 right-hander worked exclusively from the stretch, the sophomore would show deceptive actions with a cross-fire 3/4 release while coming from a shorter arm path. Lubenow would sit in the low-80s with both his four-seam and two-seam with ride up in the zone with the former and some sink on the latter. The curveball sat 69-72 mph with short break. Lubenow also showed feel for a 77-78 mph changeup would tunnel well off the four-seam as he maintained arm-speed with the offering throughout his bullpen.
