Defensively arm played at 79 mph across the diamond, short over the top action, played with accuracy. Hands played, showed body control and an athletic arm action. 7.34 runner in the 60.

2/9/14 - Rangy athlete, long limbed, slender build, 6-foot-1, 160-pound, left handed hitting infielder. Defensively shows range, efficient footwork, quick and fluid. 4.19 runner home to first from the left side. Improved actions, plays through the baseball. Arm action is loose, high ¾ arm slot, accurate arm, carry across the diamond (79 mph). Offensively hits from the left side, slightly open stance, short stride. Contact type hitter, loose hands, simple approach, easy swing with well above average hand eye. Line drive approach with bat speed, 90 mph exit velocity. Cox is a highly projectable left handed hitting infielder.

10/19/13 - Lanky athletic prospect, 6-foot-1, 160-pound left handed hitting middle infielder. Defensively shows athleticism, rangy athlete, hands work, fluid footwork. Arm action is loose and athletic, high ¾ slot, 74 mph across the diamond. Offensively hits from the left side, slightly open stance, short stride. Athletic hands, contact hitter, works the middle of the field, flat bat path, athletic swing. Line drive hitter, with rhythm and bat speed, 73 mph exit velocity. 7.54 runner in the 60.

8/6/13 - Lanky, athletic frame, 6-foot, 160-pound left handed hitting middle infielder. Offensively hits from a slightly narrow stance, smooth load. Showed bat speed, 80 mph exit velocity from the tee, pull side approach, consistent contact with repeatability, showed well above average hands and barrel awareness. Slight front foot hitter, solid balance, fluid rhythm throughout. Defensively showed soft hands on the infield, quick clean exchange, rangy defender, 7.50 60. Arm plays from a high ¾ slot, some accuracy across the diamond, 75 mph arm strength. Cox is a high follow middle infielder in the Class of 2015.
