Athletic, physically built 6-foot-2, 210-pound frame. Took the mound for GRB Rays - Green in the tournament’s opening slot and twirled a quality outing. Has cleaned up his operation and steadily sustained an uptick in velocity over the last six months. Fastball plays in the 85-88 mph range, peaking at 89 mph with feel for the zone. Spins a tight, firm mid-to-upper-70s slider and will sink a low-80s changeup, too. Also has intrigue as a position player; 6.82 60-yard dash, 97.5 mph max exit velocity, and topped at 93 mph from the outfield this winter. Former PBR Future Games prospect that’s a trending uncommitted follow in Wisconsin’s 2023 class.
After seeing him in action as a position player with pop and carry at the Madison ID, falish made the trip to the MOSH to showcase his pitching arsenal. Falish worked down the mound with some athleticism with power in his arm (89mph). The fastball has an impressive spin figure 2500, with 18i of vertical and a high hop score with 12i of horizontal. There was plenty of horizontal action on his breaking pitches with quality spin (2400+), and a usable changeup.
Positional Profile: 3B/RHP
Body: 6-2, 195-pounds. Athletic looking build, round shoulders.
Hit: RHH. Tall, open setup, short stride. Barrel tip from flat to 45 degrees. Strong rotation, backside delivers the barrel, violence at impact. Tight turn with quality transmission at impact. Backspin flights mature pop.
Power: 97.5 max exit velocity, averaged 89.6 mph. 307’ max distance.
Arm: RH. OF - 93 mph. Short, quick arm action. 3/4 slot.
Defense: Corner outfield profile, feet work fluidly through the ball, glove hand is out front, long through release.
Run: 6.82 runner in the 60.
Falish is listed at 6-foot-2, 195 pounds, and his physicality does not impede his foot speed as he ran a 6.73 60-yard at the Future Games. He is a proportionally strong right-handed hitter who flashes pop to his pull side with ball flight that consistently carried, as evidenced by a homerun off the scoreboard.
A big winner from last week’s Madison Preseason I.D. from an offensive standpoint, Falish continues to solidify himself as a high-follow name in the state’s sophomore class. The upside attached to Falish’s 6-foot-2, 190-pound frame on both sides of the ball is fairly high and he showed out on the mound this weekend. Falish pumped his fastball in at 83-85 mph and primarily spotted it up towards the glove-side of the plate. His breaking ball projects as a swing-and-miss offering; a sharp curveball thrown with fastball intent at 70-73 mph that breaks late off an 11/5 plane.
Falish stands out as a strong 6-foot-2, 195-pound third baseman with some pop at the plate. He reached a 96.6 mph max exit speed in BP, with a short right-handed stroke that gets through contact well. On top of his strength and size, he showed body control on the infield while running a 6.89, with an 85 mph arm across the diamond. Falish has immediately emerged as a follow sophomore in the state’s 2023 class.
Failsh has an athletic, physical 6-foot-2, 195-pound build and, yet, still recorded a 6.82 time in the 60 to start his day. Setting up tall and open in his stance, and striding short with a barrel tip into plant, from a 45 degree set behind his head. Falish delivers the barrel with violence and strength with a tight swing arc, carrying the ball through the middle of the field from 78 mph barrel speed, and exits up to 97.5 mph – showcasing mature strength from a controlled, grounded action. Falish’s innate strength translates to the outfield where his big arm topped at 93 mph from the outfield (event-best), as he likely profiles as a corner outfielder with a well-above-average run tool.
