Sept. 2017- PBR Fall Championships- 6-foot-3, 170-pounds, Barnard has a long, pitcher’s frame that should fill out in the near future. He efficiently repeats a simple delivery with a long arm swing that culminates with the ball being delivered out of a ¾ slot. Barnard effortlessly sat 84-87 in his outing, and touched 88 mph, with his fastball. He pounded the bottom of the strike zone and got many ground balls. His slider was more of an average pitch, but he controlled it at 75 mph. It took two different shapes, one more 11/5 like a curveball, and the other later-breaking like a slider out of the zone. His changeup sat 76 mph, and though he slowed his arm down slightly, he was able to turn it over for strikes while receiving poor swings.
