9/27/16 - Verbally committed to Coastal Carolina.
4/26/15 - 6-foot-4, 245-pound, left-handed hitting first baseman with a strong XL-frame. Currently ranked no. 74 in the Wisconsin Class of 2015 Rankings. Committed to Polk State JC. Most impressive offensive player of the day, impact type bat. At the plate hits from a slightly open stance with a quiet approach. Easy power with a short load and short swing path with some lift. Has made big strides over the last year mechanically at the plate to become more fluid. Squared up pitches all day, even foul balls were loud. Hit a towering Homerun pullside in game. Also drove a 2B over the CF’s head off a tough left-handed pitcher.
12/14/14 - Verbally committed to Polk State JC (FL)
6/19/14 - Large build, 6-foot-4, 235-pound left handed hitting first-baseman. Offensivley hits from an open stance, smooth loading action, laid back barrel in load, short stride, lower half is active. Strong swing, creates whip, slightly muscled, advanced bat speed, 88 mph exit velocity from the tee. Pull side power approach, slightly uphill path, pull side pop. Big left-handed power potential bat. Adequate defender, shows softness in hands. Short arm action, 73 mph across the diamond. 7.55 runner in the 60.
5.8.14 - 6-foot-3, 235-pound big body, left handed, first baseman with power. At the plate he has an open stance, short stride, solid balance. Has a powerful swing with above average bat speed, makes consistently strong contact, looks to have advanced pull side power. Exit velocity was 87 mph off a tee. At first base, showed solid hands and feet. Arm works 71 mph across the diamond. Ran 7.69 60.
8-8-2018: 6’3, 220 pounds. Big bodied first baseman with legitimate power. Level swing, balanced actions in the box. Creates power with leverage and strength. Swing has some length but stays in the zone for a long time. Quick front foot that strides into a toe-tap. When the upper and lower body sync up, he can do some serious damage with the barrel. If the lower half gets too quick and speeds up his shoulders/hands, he’s more susceptible to swing and miss, especially against hard spin. Defensively the actions are raw, Biermann will have to work hard to be a serviceable first baseman. The ‘K’ rate may always be an issue but there’s no denying Biermann has above average raw power from the left side.
