Working with a high leg lift and balance, he repeated his delivery well to fill the zone with a fastball that topped at 90.0 mph. The heater played with heavy carry at the top of the zone averaging 18.3” of carry while flashing late tailing action. His secondaries are headlined by a sharp, late-breaking slider that features nasty two-plane action and high spin rates averaging 2,708 RPMs and peaking at 2,788 RPMs. Heiman also showcased a high-slot changeup with late tail, giving him a three-pitch mix that profiles as a legitimate out-pitch weapon at the next level.

Showed a deceptive 3/4s release with a solid two-pitch mix. Worked with a low-80s fastball that would top out at 83 mph along with a low-70s breaking ball with spin rates north of 2700 rpm. He spun a curveball off the heater at 65-66 mph and showed big two-plane action in and below the zone. The slider at 69-70 mph showcased slurvy action with sharp 10/4 shape and break to the pitch. It was a solid three pitch mix for Heiman who has upside on the mound. With the bat, Heiman showed quick hands with feel to barrel up the ball consistently and athletic actions in the infield to go with it. It was an impressive overall look at the sophomore.
