8/10/14 Zban unfortunately strained a hamstring during his 60-yard dash limiting his activity to just the first day of the event. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound uncommitted senior registered a 7.08 60 after previously running a 6.91 this summer. The talented left-handed hitter flashed a 91 mph bat exit velocity in batting practice and showcased the ability to drive the baseball to all fields. Zban went 1-for-2 at the plate on day one prior to having to retire due to his leg issue.
720/14 Zban is a 6-foot-1, 185-pound uncommitted senior that impressed at the PA Top Prospect Games in June and was equally as impressive at the Border Battle. The left-handed hitter went 4-for-7 in game action consistently barreling the baseball while showing the ability to drive the baseball to all fields. Zban displayed athletic actions in the outfield with a well above average 91 mph arm. The right-handed thrower showed two-way abilities sitting 81-84 on the mound from a 3/4 arm slot with a quality 75 mph changeup that had significant arm side run. Zban completed his well-rounded performance by running a 6.91 60-yard dash. Currently ranked No. 10 in the WV Class of 2015, Zban is likely to draw considerable interest moving towards the early signing period in November.
6/18/14 Zban impressed in every facet of the game at the PA Top Prospect Games. The 6-foot-1, 185-pound left-handed hitter showed athletic actions in the outfield with good feet (6.97 60-yard dash) and the top OF arm at the event (91 mph). Zban made a number of solid plays defensively during the two games his team played including a catch he made in foul territory in the bullpen in right field.
Zban hits from a high hands load out of a slightly open stance. He has a very fluid swing with a flat swing plane. The lefty displayed the ability to use all fields and power potential to both gaps. Zban went 2-for-6 in game play with both hits being to the opposite field.
His size, foot speed, arm strength and athleticism will make Zban one of the more highly recruited outfielders in West Virginia's senior class leading into the early signing period in November.
