Notes

Comments

7/11/18 Defensively is decisive in reads and routes. Gottholm consistently gets behind and plays through ball both in the air and on the ground. Registered arm strength of 75 mph on throws from the OF.

Offensively, the 5-foot-11 145 pound, right-handed hitter initiates swing from open set up with stride to further open. Weight shift is adequate and hip turn is passive. Back elbow does not directly connect to trunk resulting in consistent the arm while having consistent arm side fade.reach. There is tendency to rotate into a soft front side. A bat exit velocity of 76 mph was registered.

On the mound, the right-hander works out of a mid 3/4 arm slot demonstrating adequate balance and rhythm. There is ability to repeat moderate effort delivery. Fastball was true at 74-75 mph. Curveball at 60 had 11/5 shape and rolling action. Changeup at 58-62 was thrown with subtle slowing of the arm while demonstrating consistent arm side fade.
