The 6-foot-3, 185-pound primary outfielder had what we feel was his best event to date. Offensively, he starts from a slightly spread open, upright position. Generated good bat speed and showcased pop to all fields during bp. During game action, he had two impressive at-bats which helped him stand out. A 84 mph exit velocity was recorded on this day.
Defensively, Lantz moved well in the outfield. Given his size and strength, we feel he can be an early contributor at the next level. He rounds the ball well, and gets good reads off the bat. A 77 mph positional velocity was recorded. Overall, Lantz will be a highly sought after piece in the 2020 class of WV

The 6-foot-3, 185-pound athlete had a solid showing on this day. He initiates his swing out of a slight open stance. Had one of the louder rounds of bp. His bat stays in the zone a long time, which allows him to drive the ball to all fields. A 84 mph bat exit was recorded on this day, up from 83 at a previous event.
Defensively, Lantz is can play multiple positions, as he was a third baseman at this event, but we feel he will transition as a OF at the college ranks. A 7.36 - laser timed 60 was recorded on this day and we feel it will only get better. Has raw, physical strength and a next level body. He showcased good instincts and the ability to field and throw accurately & consistently. A 76 mph infield velocity was recorded on this day. Overall, Lantz will be one of the better athletes available in the 2020 class.
11.18.18 - Defensively, the 6-foot-3, 195-pound athlete works from his feet up. He displayed a longer, sling shot low 3/4 arm action across the diamond. 75 mph velocity was recorded. He moves his feet well and gets his momentum moving towards his target.
Offensively, Lantz initiates his swing from a upright athletic position. He displayed good balance and physical strength with considerable power. His hands are loose and in rhythm with his body. A 83 mph exit velocity off the tee was recorded.
8/26/17 - 6-foot-1, 185-pound right-handed hitter initiated swing from slightly open set up with short stride to neutral. Although young there is already considerable physicalness to frame. Lantz lowers height substantially in stride with associated head movement. Weight shift is somewhat passive with compromised separation. There is good balance and rhythm to swing. hands are quick and loose in achieving a bat exit velocity of 85.
Defensively, hands are adequate and there is commitment to working bottom up. Exchange and throwing motion are long. Arm strength of 69 mph across may precipitate move to opposite corner.
