Today, and in the days following, we want to shine a spotlight on the uncommitted prospects , specifically 2021s. We start with 14 left-handed pitchers. Keep reading below for reports and video from each prospect's last appearance at LakePoint.

Fisher Paulsen, LHP, Allatoona (GA), 2021
10/20/19 - 5-foot-11, 175-pound left-handed pitcher, strong, athletic frame, has filled out frame considerably since the last time we saw him. Arm works clean and loose to a 3/4 slot, quick arm speed, consistent slot. Mechanically sound delivery, stays tall throughout, works on-line, finishes square to the mound, showed the ability to change timing effectively while still maintaining balance and arm slot. Fastball sat 86-87 (2280rpm) early on, settled in at 83-86, touching 87 throughout his entire complete game one-hitter in the semis of the PBR Fall Classic. Slider was his bread and butter, commanded to all parts of the zone, 73-76 (2250rpm), two-plane break, routinely caught the outside of the plate, gave hitters a problem the entire game, unable to figure it out.

(10/20/19 - Fall Classic)

Damien Whitfield, LHP, Next Level Academy (AL), 2021
9/22/19 - 6-foot-1 190-pounds. Athletic framed lefty that did nothing but compete on the mound for the Rays. FB was 83-85, topped out at 87. Velo is up from the last time we saw him. Competitor on the mound, threw most of a 1-0 game and showed a ton of toughness. Managed the run game really well, and had a great move to first, both leg lift and snap throw. He commanded the inside of the zone really well. He went inside on guys with 2 strikes, and caught a lot of hitters off guard. Had a really good breaking ball that was 70-72. He did not throw it much, but when he did it was for a strike. Could use it to get ahead or strike guys out. Really fun lefty to watch throw. Pitched with emotion, and grit.

(9/22/19 - PBR Cup)

Dominic Flacco, LHP/OF, New Smyrna Beach (FL), 2021
9/14/19 - 6-foot, 150-pound left-handed two-way prospect, lean, lanky frame. Impressed on the mound in his start on Saturday against Excel Blue. Quick, loose arm action, continuous on the back-side, over-the-top slot, repeats well. Good angle on all pitches, stays on top, driving down the mound. Finishes falling off towards the third base side. Fastball sat 82-84, blew it by batters early on, getting swing and misses with. Curveball, 12/6 shape, depth, late bite, swing and miss type pitch, 69-72 (2400-2600rpm). Will be a follow left-handed arm as he continues to mature physically.

(9/14/19 - Fall Invite)

Anthony Turner, LHP, North Gwinnett HS (GA), 2021
10/4/19 - Lanky left-hander at 6-foot-2, 180 pounds. Loose arm that can really spin the baseball. Climbed with velocity as he settled in. Fastball sat 81-84 with some dive. 2-seam has good movement out of the hand. When misses, missed arm-side, but still getting feel for body. Curveball has good shape sitting 69-70. Interesting arm to watch this spring. Member of 2019 Georgia Future Games team.
