2020 LHP/OF Eddie Park (Valley Christian HS-San Jose) has been named this week’s Prep Baseball Report Northern California Player of the Week due to his standout performance in the National Classic Tournament. Valley Christian won four games in the tournament, defeating Mission Viejo in the championship game, with Park being named tournament MVP! Valley Christian's run through the loaded tournament has vaulted the Warriors to a #1 ranking in California and in some rankings, the nation. Park (a Stanford commit) has been instrumental to the team all season.

The tournament ran from April 2-5 and during the week Park was outstanding on both the mound and at bat. He finished 5-for-10 at the plate and earned the win in the championship game of the National Classic. In the semi-final and final, Park went 5-for-6 with 3 RBI, which is all the more impressive when considering the high quality pitching in the tournament.

In the championship game he got the start on the mound and went 5 innings, giving up 4 hits, 1 run (earned), walked two and struck out 3, while also going 2-for-3 at the plate with 2 RBI as Valley Christian won the game 2-1. That's getting it done! The video below is from a game this past February.

For his efforts, Park has been named the Prep Baseball Report NorCal Player of the Week for the week of April 2-8. Here is a link to the brackets from the National Classic.

The Prep Baseball Report congratulates Park for his hard work and contributions to the Valley Christian Warriors, California's #1 ranked team.
