ISLANDERS FIELD - LATHROP, CALIF. - A total of 37 position players were in attendance, seven of whom competed primarily as corner infielders, all uncommitted.The event was all 2022/2023 grads, with a number of ranked players in attendance. 

In addition to the traditional showcase (60 yard run, BP round, defensive workouts), the pitchers competed in live game action where their data was gathered, and each position player had four at-bats during the game they played in.

Kaiden Dossa, Tamalpais (CA), 2023
Positional Profile: 3B/RHP
Body: 6-1, 180-pounds. Strong athletic build, well-proportioned, frame still with room for strength gains.
Hit: RHH. Wider feet, balanced set-up, high hands to start, slightly off the plate with medium depth in the box, small stride slightly closes, lowers hands into medium depth load. Strong hip rotation, maintains balance, clean mechanics, easy swing, generates bat speed with ease, projects to continue to develop power as he approaches physical maturity.
Power: 93 max exit velocity, 67.4 max bat speed, 20.6 max hand speed.
Arm: RH. 3B - 75 mph. Clean arm action, has some arm angle versatility that fits well at 3B, accurate, throws easy, should be able to develop more raw arm strength.
Defense: 3B - Light feet, plays with energy and urgency, soft hands, sets up feet well to get throws off quickly, soft hands, has agility and quick reaction ability.
Run: 6.93 runner in the 60.

Micah Billings, James Logan (CA), 2023
Positional Profile: 1B/3B
Body: 6-0, 185-pounds. Broad proportions, thick body type.
Hit: RHH. Medium width feet, slightly off the plate and very slightly open, hands resting over shoulder, slight crouch, medium knee lift out to long stride that closes off, creates separation as he loads. Flatter stroke, has barrel life, possesses some physicality, aggressive swing, damage intent.
Power: 92 max exit velocity, 63 max bat speed, 21.7 max hand speed.
Arm: RH. 1B - 77 mph. Loose arm, controls backside arm action, aggressive thrower, gets feeds underway quickly with accuracy.
Defense: 1B - Plays ball aggressively, has alive type feet, plays with some urgency, louder actions, hands worked well, understands footwork for the position.
Run: 8.32 runner in the 60.

Caden Sta Maria, Bellarmine College Prep (CA), 2023
Positional Profile: 1B
Body: 6-1, 200-pounds. Burly and broad, body type that can become physical and powerful.
Hit: LHH. Deep in box, narrow feet, starts open, elbows somewhat pinched with high barrel, medium knee lift, smooth into longer stride that closes slightly. Creates powerful tension in medium depth load, physical stroke, showed game power with home run to pull-side, lets barrel live through contact, fairly flat stroke with ability to drive ball to all fields.
Power: 92 max exit velocity, 69.2 max bat speed, 21.9 max hand speed.
Arm: LH. 1B - 72 mph. Shorter snappy type arm action, gets rid of ball quickly, aggressive to bag on feeds.
Defense: 1B - Clean feet, plays low, secures ball well, soft glove hand, plays with energy.
Run: 7.51 runner in the 60.

Dylan Lee, California (CA), 2023
Positional Profile: 1B/3B
Body: 6-1, 195-pounds. Strong with present muscularity and well put together.
Hit: RHH. Taller set-up, slightly closed, medium depth in box and off the plate, hands star head high, medium lift out to medium stride, rhythmic in the box. Smoothly stretches into medium depth load, keeps top hand above high pitch well, pretty short stroke, handsy and trusts his hands, quiet stroke with strength.
Power: 92 max exit velocity, 64.7 max bat speed, 19.9 max hand speed.
Arm: RH. 1B - 70 mph. Short arm stroke tailored to get rid of ball quickly which he does, can make arm angle adjustments as necessary.
Defense: 1B - Plays with gritty style, willing to 'stick his nose' in there, feet work to get him in position to get off quick and accurate throws.
Run: 7.75 runner in the 60.

Luca Dickinson, St. Ignatius Prep (CA), 2023
Positional Profile: RHP/3B
Body: 6-2, 195-pounds. Thick and physical, has present strength and projects for more.
Hit: RHH. Wider feet, middle of the box, slight crouch, back elbow starts parallel to ground, minimal load, kicks stride foot back then out to medium stride. Catches ball consistently out front of plate, has strong hands, as bat starts wrapped around head there is some sweep into and through zone that creates power to the pull-side.
Power: 91 max exit velocity, 72.3 max bat speed, 20.2 max hand speed.
Arm: RH. 3B - 84 mph. Ball jumps out of hand easily, has multiple arm angle versatility for the position, has carry across the diamond.
Defense: 3B - Creates good angles to get off accurate throws, long body with long strides that contribute to surprising range, soft hands.
Run: 7.49 runner in the 60.

Emmet George, Marin Catholic (CA), 2023
Positional Profile: 3B/RHP
Body: 6-2, 190-pounds. Lean and strong, streamlined proportions.
Hit: RHH. Medium width feet, crouched with even feet, medium depth in box, rhythmic actions, reverse toe tap out to longer stride, creates separation with hand load. Slides hips into crashing at contact, has barrel control, tight swing with repeatability, two hand finish that is a bit abbreviated, can spray to all fields with some pop.
Power: 90 max exit velocity, 72.4 max bat speed, 20.6 max hand speed.
Arm: RH. 3B - 79 mph. Longer arm stroke like that of a pitcher, ball comes out well though carry was inconsistent.
Defense: 3B - Soft hands, catches ball out front, uses feet well to create clean angles.
Run: 7.89 runner in the 60.

Frankie Castillo, John F. Kennedy (Sacramento, CA), 2023
Positional Profile: 1B/OF
Body: 5-10, 160-pounds. Lean body, sinewy proportions, room for more size and strength.
Hit: LHH. Tall set-up, narrow feet, off the plate, smooth lift out to short stride as he creates separation into deeper load. Barrel starts from fairly vertical position, smooth stroke, stays above ball well, can spray ball to opposite field, whippy swing.
Power: 86 max exit velocity, 62.9 max bat speed, 21.2 max hand speed.
Arm: LH. 1B - 72 mph. Shorter arm  action suited to the position, gets ball underway quickly, raw arm strength is fair.
Defense: 1B - Plays below the ball, made adjustments on challenging hops, feet kept him in position to use his soft hands, energetic defender, worked around bag confidently.
Run: 7.29 runner in the 60.
