THE FIVE: Uncommitted 2021 SoCal Pitchers

Les Lukach
State Scouting Director

If pitching and defense does in fact win championships, then you must be strong with both if in fact you're going to have the best chance at winning games and ultimately championships. For a lot of pitchers their development takes to elevate itself to the forefront before becoming noticeable traits that college coaches covet. Some pitchers are advanced at an early age and commit to a school early. Lastly, there are those pitchers from remote parts of the state who are both developed and projectable but fly under-the-radar because of their location or other reasons.

We have had the good fortune this year to see a whole lot of pitchers from across the beautiful state of California and it never ceases to amaze us just how many talented players we get to watch daily. With the focus here being pitchers, it was difficult to choose just five given the depth of talent across the state. However, we decided on these five because we felt it's only a matter of time until they're snatched up by a school.

In this issue of THE FIVE, we'll look at five pitchers (listed in no particular order) who will, and in some cases, are already in the process of hearing from interested colleges.
