2018 Senior Games Infield Analysis

The Prep Baseball Report’s 2019 Senior Games took place Wednesday June 20th at The University of Colorado Colorado Springs Prospects from the 2019 class came together in a pro-style workout and a 9 inning game to strut their stuff in front of the PBR scouting staff.

Following is a look at top performances in a number of measurable categories. Click Here for a statistical breakdown of this event.

Over the course of the next week we will break down individual performances.  We began our look with the catching and outfield positions,  now we look at the infield position.

2018 Senior Games Infield Analysis

Bradley Feeder 2B / RHP / Legend High School, CO / 2019

A 5-foot-10, 165-pound right hand hitting MIF, RHP who ran a 7.28 60. At the plate he hits from a balanced stance with a slow load on the pitch.  Good lower leg drive on the swing.  Hands come through the zone and create good whip.  Exit velocity was 81 mph.   In the field he showed good athletic actions and instincts.  He has soft hands and a good glove to hand transfer.  Arm Velocity was 75 mph.  Delivery on the mound repeats, tall and fall type, loads lift to back side, coiled at top, lands square and stays on line and balanced. Arm action is loose, high ¾ slot. Fastball runs to arm side, 73-76 mph, showed ability to command.

 

 

 

 

Eddie Glaser SS / RHP / Calhan, CO / 2019

5-foot-9, 160-pound right hand hitting SS/RHP who ran a 7.65 60. At the plate he hits from a balanced stance with a slow load on the pitch.  Good lower leg drive on the swing.  Hands come through the zone on an uphill path.  Exit velocity was 81 mph.   In the field he showed good athletic actions and instincts.  He has soft hands and a good glove to hand transfer.  Arm Velocity was 64 mph. On the mound he works quick to the plate.  Lifts and falls to the plate and throws slightly across his body.  Fastball was 68-70 mph with command down and away.  He also showcased a 51-53 mph curve with sweeping break.

 

 

 

 

 

Patrick Jones SS / Springfield highschool, CO / 2019

5-foot-6, 190-pound right hand hitting MIF who ran an 8.06 60. Stands balanced at the plate with a short stride on the pitch.  Swing path is flat through the zone and weight stays on his back side.  Exit velocity was 73 mph.  In the field he showed solid hands and a good transfer.  Arm is is from a high ¾ slot and was 61 mph across the diamond.

 

 

 

 

 

Corbin Kirk LHP / 1B / Kelly Walsh, WY / 2019

6-foot-1, 196-pound left hand hitting LHP/1B who ran a 7.9 60. On the mound, arm action is long and live, high ¾ slot. Fastball has straight life through the zone, sat 81-84 mph, touched 87 mph. Curveball has 1/7 shape, flashed tight spin, 73-75 mph. Changeup sinks, near fastball arm speed, 76-77 mph. Left-handed hitter, starts in a slightly open stance, short stride during load, mostly balanced. Attacks the ball from a short path with above-average bat speed. Recorded 92 mph exit velocity from the tee. Defensively, fluid footwork, clean exchange. Long arm action from high ¾ slot, 76 mph across the field.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mac Padilla 2B / SS / Regis Jesuit, CO / 2019

5-foot-7, 140-pound right hand hitting MIF who ran a 7.16 60. Lean middle infielder. Offensively, right-handed hitter, balanced setup, wrap load, short stride, maintains balance through contact. Opposite field approach, long, uphill barrel path, 84 mph exit velocity off a tee. Defensively, long arm action, ¾ arm slot, shows quick feet and balance while on the move. Arm played at 75 mph across the infield.

 

 

 

 

 

Colin Richey SS / 2B / Smoky Hill High School, CO / 2019

5-foot-8, 160-pound 160 right hand hitting MIF who ran a 7.65 60. Right-handed hitter, balanced setup, smooth load, long stride and maintains balance through contact. Compact, fluid, repeatable swing, creates bat speed, consistent hard contact; 84 mph exit velocity from a tee. Defensively, moves well left and right.  Shows quick athletic actions and funnels into exchange, ¾ arm slot, throws topped at 75 mph.
