2023 CHSAA Season Preview: Ralston Valley HS

Caleb Dameron
PBR Colorado Staff

The Colorado high school season is nearing quickly, and we're here to cover it. Over the next several weeks, leading up to opening day, we'll publish our team previews ahead of the 2023 spring season, touching on programs spanning all state classifications, leading into a countdown through the official PBR Colorado Preseason Power 25 Rankings.

Team: Ralston Valley
League: Jefferson County
2022 Record: 13-11 / 4-4 Conference
Classification: 5A
Head Coach: Brad Madden
Years at the Helm: 22

OUTLOOK:
Ralston Valley led the state of Colorado in homers last season and is returning a very deep junior class. Coach Brad Madden loves this program’s depth right now and if they get some standouts on the mound in 2023 they think they can be very relevant. 2023 might consist of more small ball and defense for the Mustangs since the roster now has more of a shift towards speed after graduating some powerful hitters as seniors in 2022. Ralston Valley is in an interesting spot as their young and experienced group could start to make big strides in the near future.
