Class of 2026 Rankings

Josh Reynolds
Colorado Scouting Director

As the 2026 class prepares for its first high school spring season, it is an excellent time to put out our initial ranking. It will be fun to follow along and see how the class of 2026 rankings grow and change over the next four years. Players will come into their own early and some later. Bodies will mature, skills will develop, and work ethic will prevail. But it is all part of the process, as no path is the same. With that said, let's unveil the 2026 rankings.

Top 3:

Gio Rojas LHP / Lakewood, CO / 2026

The low 3/4 slot lefty has already made a verbal commitment to Miami, and it is easy to see why. He is loose and makes it look easy with his mid to upper 80's fastball. He commands his off-speed and has feel to pitch. Left-handed pitchers are always high value, and he has a lot of it.

Tyce Smith OF / Regis Jesuit, CO / 2026

The 6-foot, 170-pound left-handed hitting outfielder has some twitch in his body with advanced skills. His swing is compact and loose with bat-to-ball skills right now. He can go get the baseball in the outfield with advanced reads and quick bursts. As he continues to mature and develop, he will be an exciting player to follow throughout his high school career.

Aaron Jaquez RHP / Falcon, CO / 2026

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound two-way potential shows present strength with long levers. On the mound, he is mid 80's with feel for a change-up and breaking ball. He has a quiet, compact swing at the plate that generates 90+ exit velocity. With continued development, he possesses all the tools to make himself a high-level player.
