It’s Dec. 31, the last day of 2015. Before we flip the page to 2016, let’s look back on the year that was. Below are the top stories of 2015 from states in Prep Baseball Report’s coverage area.

AR: Fenter Signs, Starts Hot
RHP Gray Fenter (West Memphis HS, AR) generated some buzz this spring when he touched 96 mph. He routinely sat in the low 90s and averaged more than 12 strikeouts per start as a senior. With their seventh-round pick, the Orioles drafted the Mississippi State recruit and signed him for $1 million. He got off to a strong start in pro ball, logging 21.2 innings with a 1.66 ERA while striking out 18.
