Top Uncommitted 2017 Exit Velocities:

Eric Cox, Cherokee Trial High School, OF/RHP
Exit Velocity: 95

A 5-foot-10, 205-pound right hand hitting OF/RHP who ran a 6.90 60.  Starts open at the plate with a slight leg kick and long stride to get even.  Aggressive weight transfer and quick hands with a slightly uphill swing path created balls with good carry to the gaps.  He registered a 95 MPH exit velocity off a tee.  In the field he uses his speed to cut balls down.  He is max effort on his release and delivers an 83 MPH ball with accuracy.  On the mound he gets to balance and rocks back before landing in-line with the plate.  He delivers from a high ¾ arm slot and featured an 81 MPH fastball.  He finished with a 68-69 MPH curve with 11/5 break and a 74-75 MPH change.

Austin Chouinard, Regis Jesuit, 3B/RHP
Exit Velocity: 94

A 6-foot-0 195-pound right hand hitting 3B who ran a 7.50 60.  Simple balanced approach at the plate.  Uses a short stride to get weight moving forward and hits off a firm front side.  Swing path is level through the zone with good extension out front.  Exit velocity was 94 MPH.  In the field he moves well at third base.  Does a nice job of covering the hole.  He has a quick high ¾ release with accuracy.  Arm velocity was 82 MPH.  

Michael Morris, Cherokee Trial High School, SS/3B
Exit Velocity: 94

A 6-foot-0, 170-pound right hand hitting SS/3B who ran a 6.99 60.  Stands balanced at the plate with a long stride on the pitch.  Weight stays back during the swing with more rotation than transfer.  Swing path is uphill and exit velocity was 94 MPH.  In the field he uses his speed to move left and right.  He covers good ground and does a nice job getting his feet under him to make an accurate 77 MPH throw. 

Nick Perez, Cherokee Trial High School, 3B/2B
Exit Velocity: 93

A 5-foot-10, 215-pound left hand hitting 3B who ran a 7.43 60.  Balanced at the plate with a slow load back and a double toe tap on the pitch.  An aggressive weight transfer and good extension out front had the ball jumping off his bat during the live round. Exit velocity was 93 MPH.  At third base, he shows good range and soft hands.  He moves well to the backhand side and gets rid of the ball quickly.  He throws from a high ¾ arm slot and velocity was 79 MPH.

Jack Winkler, Chatfield High School, SS/2B
Exit Velocity: 93

A 6-foot-1, 177-pound right hand hitting SS/2B who ran a 7.06 60.  Balanced at the plate with a slow load back and long stride on the pitch.  Swing path is level with good extension out front at contact.  Good lower leg drive and rotation created a 93 MPH exit velocity and showed good power during the live round.  In the field he has quick feet and covers good ground left and right.  Fielding is smooth with soft hands and a quick transfer on the throw.  Delivery comes from a high ¾ arm angle and he showcased an 81 MPH accurate arm.  Identified with the best swing 2017 at this event.  

Josh Haensly, Fairview High School, C/OF
Exit Velocity: 92

A 6-foot-1, 195-pound right hand hitting catcher/OF who ran a 7.28 60.  At the plate he hits from a slight crouch with a long stride for timing.  He has an aggressive leg drive through the zone and good extension out front.  Good pull power with a 92 MPH exit velocity.  In the outfield he attacks the ball off the bat and moves well to his glove side.  He throws from a short over the top motion with a 77 MPH arm.  Behind the plate he is quiet on the pitch and shows good instinct on balls in the dirt.  He moves well on bunts and delivers an accurate ball to first base.  Pop-times were 2.08-2.12 for this event.

Gonzalo Luevano, Rangeview High School, 1B/RHP
Exit Velocity: 92

A 6-foot-0, 230-pound 1B/RHP who ran a 8.12 60.  Balanced at the plate with a high leg kick for timing.  Hits against a firm front side with good lower leg drive on the swing.  Swing path is slightly uphill and long through the zone.  He showcased a 92 MPH exit velocity.  In the field he moves well and covers balls in the hole.  He showed good feet and a quick release turning a double play ball.  His arm velocity was 73 MPH across the diamond.  On the mound he stands closed and continues through balance.  He lands in-line with the plate and delivers from an over the top slot.  Falls off slightly to the first base side after delivery.  He featured a 72 MPH fast ball along with a 61 MPH curve with sweeping break and a 69 MPH change down in the zone. 

Rocco Porreco, Mullen High School, 3B/RHP
Exit Velocity: 92

A 6-foot-2, 200-pound right hand hitting 3B/RHP who ran a 7.41 60.  Balanced at the plate with a slight dive in on the pitch.  Wide stance allows for an aggressive weight transfer on the swing.  Swing path is level through the zone and his exit velocity was 92 MPH.  In the field he shows good feet and positioning on balls at him and to his glove side.  He makes a strong accurate throw across the field at 81 MPH.   

Ryan Robinson, Grandview High School, OF/RHP
Exit Velocity: 92

A 6-foot-0, 175-pound right hand hitting OF/RHP who ran a 7.10 60.  At the plate he has a wide balanced stance with a short stride on the pitch.  He shows strong drive with his lower half and good extension out front.  Swing path is flat through the zone with good pull power.  Exit velocity was 92 MPH off the tee.  In the field he glides to the ball and shows max effort on his throws.  He delivers from an over the top arm slot at 86 MPH with accuracy to the bag.  On the mound he is balanced and smooth in his wind up.  He lands in-line with the plate and stays square on his follow through.  Fastball was 84 MPH with good command of both sides of the plate. He also showcased a 67-69 MPH curve with 11/5 break and a 72-73 change.  

Russell Cruz, Columbine High School, C/3B
Exit Velocity: 91

A 6-foot-0, 190-pound right hand hitting 3B/C who ran a 7.20 60.  At the plate he starts with a wide set up and uses a high lift and place leg kick for timing.  Strong weight transfer and quick hands produced a 91 MPH exit velocity.  Bat stays in the zone with a slight uphill path.  Behind the plate, Cruz is a take charge player with soft hands and good framing.  Arm velocity was 79 MPH and pop-times were 2.11-2.15.  In the field he moves well and uses a quick release to deliver and accurate ball across the diamond.  Very versatile player.  

Mike Griebel, Columbine High School, OF
Exit Velocity: 91

A 5-foot-9, 180-pound right hand hitting outfielder who ran a 6.87 60.  Balanced at the plate with a short stride for timing.  Good weight transfer and a level path through the zone.  Finish is long out front and showed good gap to gap power.  He had a 91 MPH exit velocity.  In the field he has great speed and closes on the ball well.  He showed smooth actions through the ball and throws from a high ¾ arm slot.  He had a 77 MPH arm velocity. He was identified as the best runner at this event.

Sam McGill, Fairview High School, C/3B
Exit Velocity: 91

5-foot-11, 176-pound right hand hitting catcher/3B. Behind the plate he showed a good setup and positioning on pitches, frames the outside pitch well. He showed soft hands and quick feet on balls in the dirt. Arm velocity was 76 MPH from the crouch with a pop time of 1.98.  At the plate he starts open with a high leg kick to come square. Swing path is uphill with good extension at contact. Exit velocity was 91 MPH off the tee. He showed good bat control to the right center gap. Ran a 7.48 60.   

Morgan McIntosh, Highlands Ranch High School, 3B/2B
Exit Velocity: 91

A 5-foot-9, 190-pound left hand hitting 3B/2B who ran a 7.30 60.  At the plate he is balanced and square.  Slow load to the back side with his weight before driving through the zone.  Good extension out front creates a 91 MPH exit velocity.  During the live round he showed great bat control to all fields.  In the field he played 3rd base and played it well.  He has a good first step on balls to the backhand side.  He uses quick hands to get rid of the ball and delivers an accurate 77 MPH throw.
