The Prep Baseball Report is the No. 1 resource for high school baseball in each state we cover through our variety of events, boots-on-the-ground scouting staff, daily coverage, and multimedia platforms. On October 28th PBR Colorado will be hosting the Unsigned Senior Showcase to be held at the Regency Athletic Complex at Metropolitan State College. This will be a great opportunity for players to get their profiles updated right before the early signing date. Over the last eight years this event has been a staple of the Prep Baseball Report schedule. Walk ups will not be accepted. The showcase will be featured on the Prep Baseball Report’s website, which is also subscribed to by more than 850 college coaches. Below are some top 2019 outfielders still on the board from the state of Colorado 

 

Teddy Schoenfeld OF / Boulder , CO / 2019

Ranked No. 23 in Colorado's 2019 Class. 5-foot-11, 160 pounds. Playing for Slammers ZavarasBats left throws right. Schoenfeld was one of the more impressive players who stepped on the field today. Hitting from the left side, showed off his sub 6.8 speed on a triple to right center which would be a double for most. Has advanced bat speed through the zone and can easily turn on an inside fastball. Line drive, gap to gap hitter. Ranges well in OF with strong arm.

 

Jett Hoggatt OF / RHP / Rocky Mountain , CO / 2019

6-foot-1, 200 pounds. Bats and throws right. Strong, athletic build. Balanced stance at the plate. Short stride. Swing is quick and short to the ball with bat speed. Led game off with solo homerun off second pitch to deep left center. In past events exit velo was 88 mph off a tee.  In the OF had good actions and threw from high 3/4 arm slot at 78 mph. On the mound comes right at you and attacks the strike zone. 

 

 

Jayden Martinez OF / OF / Grandview, CO / 2019

 6-foot, 170 pounds. Bats and throws left. Started the day running a 7.09 60 time. At the plate has a balanced, slight crouch, and short stride to let hands whip through hitting zone. Swing path is level with some pull-side tendencies. Generated a 84 mph exit velocity. Defensively, in the outfield, shows confident, clean, and athletic actions, chops his feet well. Throws from a high 3/4 arm slot at 79 mph. Projects as a 3 through 5 hole hitter for Grandview in 2019. 

 

 

 

Kian Manmano OF / RHP / Legend , CO / 2019

6-foot-0, 160-pound right hand hitting OF/RHP. At the plate he has a balanced setup, smooth load, short stride and maintains balance through contact. Compact, fluid, repeatable swing, creates bat speed, consistent hard contact; 88 mph exit velocity.  On the mound, arm action is loose, high ¾ slot. Fastball is mostly straight, slightly runs to arm side, stays around the zone, sat 78-81 mph. Curveball has 11/5 shape, 62-63 mph. Changeup sinks with feel, showed as best secondary pitch, 69-71 mph.

 

 

 

 

 

Sam Doubet OF / 2B / Regis Jesuit High School, CO / 2019

5-foot-9, 165-pound right hand hitting OF/2B who ran a 6.85 60.  At the plate he is slightly open with a long stride to come square.  Weight drives hard through the zone and swing path is uphill.  He has explosive hands and good extension on contact.  Exit velocity was 88 MPH.  In the field he shows good athletic actions and uses his speed to cut down balls in the gap.  He delivers from a high ¾ arm slot and arm velocity was 77 MPH from right field.
