We would like to thank all who participated in The PBR New England 2020 Tri-County American Legion Showcase. This was a great opportunity for 2021 prospects to be put on college recruiting boards. Many players impressed during their individual workouts at the showcase. Below we have the complete statistical results from the event as well as the top performers across various different categories.

2020 Tri-County American Legion Showcase - Quick Hits

The Bats

  • Stanley Cipkas- A right-handed hitter, a plus runner at 6.93, slaps and sprays the ball all over the yard. The baseball jumps off the bat.
  • Michael Poncini- A right-handed hitter, wider set up, hands are loose, level to up, baseball  jumps off the bat.
  • Robert Stanford- A right-handed hitter, even feet, short crisp swing to all fields, line drive approach.
  • Mitchel Leccese- A right-handed hitter, even feet, balanced on foot strike. Showing a middle approach, ran a 7.40.
  • John Linares- A right-handed hitter, a plus runner at 6.97. Swing quick, more pull line drive hitter.
  • Brendan Foley- A right-handed hitter, flat swing, middle approach, 7.22 sixty-yard dash.
  • Thomas Lunt- A right-handed hitter, showing plus power to pull side, had an exit 89 mph.

The Arms

  • Michael Poncini- A right-handed pitcher, long and clean arm from a ¾ slot, fastball reached 87 mph, heavy sink, hard late biting breaking ball. 
  • Ryan Schultz- A right-handed pitcher, super clean arm from a ¾ to high ¾ slot. The fastball reached 84 mph, pounded to both sides, with a breaking ball at 72 mph. 
  • Thomas Lunt- A right-handed pitcher, big strong frame, fastball reached 80 mph, slider at 68 mph, arm works chance to throw with some velocity.
  • Peter Torres- A right-handed pitcher, lower slot, fastball 80-82 mph, slider at 68-69 mph, slurvy breaking ball, also throws a slow deceptive knuckleball. 
  • Bradley D’Amico- A right-handed pitcher, longer, clean arm action, fastball up to 79 mph, the slider at 71 mph, pounds a heavy two-pitch to both sides of the plate.
