Scouting Report

05/20/18- Stetson recruit. At 6-foot-2, 200 pounds, he looks longer, leaner and stronger than that. May have had the best all around day from workout to game. Defensively, the catch and throw ability has really improved. Simple, clean, quick transfer and throws had carry ranging in the 1.9-1.96. Offensively, he has a very simple swing, staying in the lower half while clearing the backside and generating above average bat speed. The bat to ball skills have been there, but the power and strength have made big strides. Has leverage in the swing and stayed on the barrel both in BP and in the game. Looks to be a big riser heading into the summer.

09/14/17- Committed to Stetson University.

08/20/17- Christian continues to improve each time I see him. Defensively he is solid and as he stops growing and gets used to his frame the feet will work quicker and everything will sync up and create better pop times. The hands work and should develop into a solid defensive catcher. Offensively, the bigger frame has translated into the swing. He has a wide base and the hit toll still plays, consistently making hard contact. Power continues to come and will have a chance to hit for above average power.

9/2/16- 6-foot-1, 175 pound catcher has projectable frame and a strong lower half. Defensively, he is above average receiver with a quick transfer and strong arm with pop times in the 2.0-2.1 range. Offensively he uses a strong lower half with a slightly uphill path through the zone for present strength and projects to have above average power.
