Scouting Report

1/27/18- Uncommitted. 5-foot-9, 165 pounds. He appears to be a bit taller and stockier. The lower half is strong and has a stocky frame. Defensively he shows above average actions. Works with rhythm to and through the ball, shows good lateral range and trusts his hands. Could improve foot speed, but angles and first step works. Offensively, he has a leg kick trigger and works with rhythm and in sync in his load. Stays balanced and uses the lower half well. Has loose hands and present bat speed. Had a hard hit single in the game and an 89 mph exit velocity. There are a lot of tools to like and that project well at the next level.

01/13/18- Currently stands at 5-foot-9, 165 pounds with a stocky, strong build. In the field he shows a quick first step with range, moving freely to his right and left. Displayed sound defensive actions and fielded the ball under control and with confidence with accurate throws to the bag that topped out at 78 mph. At the plate, he showed above average bat speed through the zone with an uphill finish, looking to drive the ball into the gaps. Registered an 81 mph exit velocity in the cage and clocked in at 7.30 seconds in the 60 yard dash.

12/16/17- The middle infielder stoon out defensively, with a quick first step and easy lateral range. He moves well and looks the part in the middle. The hands work and he works in rhythm to and through the ball. Shows the potential to be an above average defender. Offensively, he shows a simple, level swing. He could use more lower half, but there is a solid present hit tool with more potential in the bat.
