2021 Future Games Spotlight: Jayden Harriel

The 2021 PBR Future Games has come and gone. The event featured the top uncommitted 2023 and 2024 players around the country representing their home state in front of over 350+ college coaches. Team Florida was a fun and talented squad who showcased their abilities all week. They would go 2-0-1 with wins over Carolina and Mid-Atlantic and a tie vs Georgia.

Post event, we will be spotlighting each member of Team Florida. Continuing with 2024 3B Jayden Harriel. Harriel is a strong 6-foot-1, 210 pound third baseman from East Lake. He plays travel ball with the Top Tier Roos. Jayden is our second of two 2024s on this years team and put together a strong showing. Made several nice plays at third base showcasing an above average arm. Short, quick swing at the plate showing ability to drive the ball to all fields with a max exit velo of 97 mph. Harriel collected two singles and two RBI at the Future Games.

Scouting Report

3/15/21

Position: 3B/1B

Body: 6-foot-1, 210-pound ['solid', 'projectable'].

Hit: (RHH) Begins in a tall balanced stance with a controlled arm bar load, then uses a leg kick. Developing bat speed. High finish, simple uphill swing. Line drive approach.

Power: 93 mph exit velocity, average 82.63 mph. 69.17 mph bat speed average. 22.11 mph hand speed average.

Defense:  (IF) Consistent developing hands, choppy footwork, packing exchange. Raw.  Movements laterally were average and he fields the ball out front.

Arm: 82 mph infield velocity. Loose arm action, high ¾ slot, consistent accuracy.

Speed: 6.94 (60-yard).

Pitching: Raw. Tall-and-fall delivery, high effort. High ¾ arm angle, quick arm speed, compact arm action. Consistent balance point, downhill shoulders, lands square, an upright finish.

FB: T84. 80-83 mph. (Max spin 2029;  Avg 1848). Arm side accuracy, hard action, tight movement.
