X-FACTOR

Alex Philpott - The Florida commit is a new member of the Strawberry Crest team. A big time two-way prospect, Philpott will make an immediate impact on that Chargers.

OUTLOOK

Crest baseball is junior heavy and those juniors come with good experience and lessons learned as sophomores. Losing the player leadership of Bryan Boully was huge for Crest and losing Colby fanning and Alex Mussenden’s offensive production will be hard to replace. Crest had guys display great leadership this fall in the weight room and in practices and they should see that investment and sacrifice fill in some holes that led to an early elimination last spring in the regional quarterfinal. Crest coaches are excited about working with a talented and gritty team this spring and will work to play every opponent tough during the season but will ultimately prepare to peak in April and May.
