No changes were made to the top 4 in the class as they continued to show why they are highly regarded this fall. LHP/OF Noah Franco (IMG Academy) remains at 1, SS Jacob Kendall (Bartram Trail) remains at 2, SS Sean Gamble (IMG Academy) stays at 3, and OF Dean Moss (IMG Academy) at 4. Four impact lefty bats that have shown their tools time and time again. Jumping into the top 5 is RHP/QB/SS Carter Smith (Bishop Verot). The two-sport athlete has shown athleticism and arm strength on the mound with a big ceiling ahead.

Risers & Newcomers

Outside the top 5, we want to take a look at players who impressed this fall and continued to make that next jump. Check out some risers and newcomers in the 2025 rankings.

1B Cameron Uzzillia, Calvary Christian (NC State)

Uzzilia made a big impression at the Top Tier Roos summer tryout and makes his way back into the top 10 of this class. He has slimmed down and added strength to his frame. Showed some of the top bat speed in his class with present power to the pull side. A high follow bat with real power potential to look forward to.

1B Nick Diaz, Stoneman Douglas

Diaz is a tall, lean 6-foot-4, 175 pound 1B with a lot of tools to like offensively. He stood out at the 2022 Sophomore State Games. Diaz creates leverage in the bat path with juice to all fields. Shows confidence in the box with bat speed and power potential. The frame and hit tool project well. Strong uncommitted follow.

RHP/OF Austin Liss, Steinbrenner (Florida State)

Liss showed impressive pitchability at the Top Tier Roos summer tryout. 6-foot, 175 pounds. Fastball has been up to 89 mph with spin rates above 2600 rpm. Pair that with a wipeout slider up to 2732 rpm. Liss showed ability to dominate the strike zone and generate swings and misses with multiple pitches. His slider received an elite 127 Sweep+ pitch score (MLB average is 100). Liss’s pitchability and high spin should continue to elevate him as he gets stronger.

MIF Jonathan Lopez, Taravella

Lopez was a force at the 2022 Sophomore State Games. Lefty bat that carried an impressive workout to gameplay. Aggressive in the box, Lopez shows feel for the barrel and can flat out hit. Smooth and athletic in the infield, Lopez can play both middle spots at an above average level. A gamer who can make an impact in a lineup. Strong uncommitted follow.

SS/RHP Taggert Cameron, John Carroll Catholic

Cameron was another uncommitted standout at the 2022 Sophomore State Games. Long, projectable frame at 6-foot-2, 160 pounds. Slows the game down on both sides of the ball. Simple, smooth swing from the right side. Showed ability to use the whole field offensively and drive the ball with intent. Defensively works under control with soft hands and can play both middle infield spots as well as third. Cameron shows two-way upside as well with a clean arm action in the low to mid 80s. Strong two-way uncommitted follow.
