Florida Diamond Club Analysis: East

The Florida Diamond Club Showcase was held Friday, October 4th through Sunday, October 6th at Joker Marchant Stadium in Lakeland, Florida. The event featured three days of pro-style workouts and game-play featuring the top 2020 and 2021 players in the state of Florida. The players were separated into four different teams, North, South, East, and West. Today, we take a look at the player analysis of the East team (Giants).

East (Giants)


Grayson Moore (Lake Mary, RHP)

2020 committed to Vanderbilt. Athletic and lanky frame at 6 foot 4, 180 pounds. As a RHP throws from the ¾ arm slot with a short arm action. Stays in line delivery to home and sits 89-91 with the fastball, curveball with some depth 70-71, changeup 77-78. Has good arm speed and commands the zone with all pitches. 


Owen Flynn (Windermere, RHP)

2021 committed to North Carolina. Athletic and lanky frame at 6 foot 3, 175 pounds. As a RHP throws from the ¾ arm slot with a loose arm action. Sitting 88-90 with the fastball and curveball 72-74 with some depth. Stays in line with delivery to home and commands all pitches for strikes. 


Nick Gorby (Vero Beach, LHP)

2020 committed to Texas Tech. Athletic and strong frame at 6 foot 1, 230 pounds. As a LHP throws from the ¾ arm slot with effortless arm action while staying in line with delivery to home. Sitting 88-90 with the fastball and curveball with depth 73-75. 


Cade Udell (Lake Mary, RHP)

2020 committed to Duke. Athletic and strong frame at 6 foot 5, 225 pounds. As a RHP throws from the ¾ with a short arm and loose arm action. Sitting 90-92 with the fastball, sharp slider 80-81. Commands all pitches for strikes and very projectable.
