2/17/23

The promising 6-foot-3, 215-pound right-hander scuffled at the Showdown in one inning of relief against TCU. His low-70s curveball was well below average as the Horned Frogs sat on and struck his 92-96 mph fastball for four runs on three hits. However, Moore did strike out two against no walks.

8/01/22

Cape Cod: Passed over in this year's draft as a sophomore-eligible, Moore touched 95 and pitched 92-94 during his five inning scoreless start at Brewster on July 27. Working downhill and releasing from a high three-quarter slot with some effort he had the look of more thrower/reliever than a potential rotation starter in professional baseball. His fastball showed some bore at times, but he mainly tried to throw all of his pitches over the middle of the plate. His best pitch was an average quality curve at 74-76 mph that showed average depth at times and he also mixed in a 83-84 mph slider. Moore finished the Cape season with 25 strikeouts in 19.1 innings, while allowing just 12 hits.

10/20/18

UCF commit. 6-foot-3, 175-pound, lean, athletic frame, projectable, continued to produce results this fall. In one inning of work sat 88-90, touched 91. Curveball, 11/5 shape, featured depth, 72-75. Slider, used less often than curveball, 81 mph. Struck out one and allowed one hit. High follow arm in th 2020 class.

10/12/18

Central Florida commit. 6-foot-3, 170-pound right-handed pitcher, athletic projectable frame, continues to fill out his once lean frame, with plenty of room for additional mass. Tall and fall delivery, slight break in back leg, remain tall throughout. Arm action is long, shows on back-side, arm speed is quick enough to sync up, ¾ slot. Repeats well. Fastball played at 85-89 mph, mostly 88-89. Has previously thrown a curveball and slider but only featured the curveball on this day, 71-74, depth. Changeup, 79 mph, some fade. Shows good pitchability on the mound and an advanced presence for a 2020, continues to trend up this fall.

9/15/18
UCF recruit the 6-foot-3 right-hander continues to show well as a true two-way talent. On the mound, he worked mostly 85-86 touching 90 mph and the fastball had tilt. He features two different breaking balls, a curveball at 70-71 mph that has some depth and a harder, two-plane slider at 79 mph. Moore went six innings, allowing only two hits while striking out nine and walking only one. Offensively, he has long levers but stays fairly compact while creating leverage. Overall, continues to show true two-way potential for the next level.
8/15/18

UCF recruit. Moore continues to be a player on the rise. He has started to fill out a long, lean and projectable frame. Offensively, he is a switch hitter with upside on both sides. Overall though, on the mound is where he may make his biggest impact. He has a loose, easy and athletic 3/4 arm action. The fastball worked 86-89 topping at 90 mph. He showed a changeup at 71-72, a curveball at 69 and the best offspeed offering was his slider at 78 mph. Just starting to grow into his frame. The arm works and should continue making big strides.

6/03/18

Central Florida recruit. Tall, projectable frame with long limbs standing at 6-foot-3, 180 pounds. Quick arm throwing out of the high ¾ slot featuring a fastball that mostly sat 84-86 mph with some run along with a 70-72 mph slider and a 63-64 mph curveball he threw occasionally. Plenty of room to fill out his frame with should increase his overall strength and see a future jump in velocity.

6/03/17

Projectable, clean, good front side. Lands in line, throws strikes fastball 80-83, topped at 84. Curveball 64-66. Very projectable
